Batteries of the latest generation can be identified by the red housing cover.

Spacers (S)

The battery is equipped with one or more spacers that are glued under the battery with the supplied adhesive strips so that the battery fits exactly into the battery box.

Waterproof (W)

The battery is completely waterproof and will not be damaged if the motorcycle is pressure washed.

Indicator (I)

All batteries are equipped with a battery status indicator.

Just press the test button. If all 3 blue LEDs light up, the battery is fully (ful) charged. If only 2 LEDs light up, it is only half (med) charged. The battery must be charged at the latest when only one LED is lit (low).

Quattro Pole (Q)

Battery is equipped with four pole connections. Depending on how you install the battery, the positive pole is arranged on the left or right. This means that the battery replaces many conventional lead-acid batteries in use.

Replacing a standard lead-acid battery with a JMT lithium-ion battery can save up to 5 kg in weight without any significant effort.

The following advantages speak for JMT lithium-ion batteries:

Due to their specific properties, lead-acid batteries can only use 30% of their capacity,

while with lithium-ion batteries almost 100% of the capacity can be used.

For this reason, the lithium versions of the JMT batteries only need 1/3 of the capacity of a comparable lead-acid battery for the same starting power.

A built-in processor (“balancer”) also ensures that all cells are charged evenly.

The dimensions of the lithium-ion batteries correspond to the dimensions of the original lead-acid batteries with the help of adapters.

The connections are also identical, which is why the battery can be replaced in a few minutes without further adjustments.

Please note that only suitable chargers may be used for charging. We recommend JMP chargers.

Under no circumstances should chargers be used that try to desulfate deeply discharged batteries below 10 volts with a voltage of more than 14.9 volts before they actually start charging.

The maximum charging voltage of 14.9 volts must not be exceeded under any circumstances.

The manufacturer guarantees sufficient starting capacity down to -5 degrees Celsius.

Technology

JMT lithium-ion batteries use iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the cathode material and use the lithium-polymer process during manufacture.

As a result, they cannot burst into flames or explode during normal operation.

The technology and the manufacturing process ensure the highest safety standard for lithium batteries.
