Installation Instructions (For Guidance Purposes Only)
Note: Replacing the alternator requires technical care. These notes are intended as general support and do not replace a professional repair.
-
Preparation: Disconnect the battery to avoid short circuits. Allow the engine to cool down completely.
-
Access: Depending on the model, the engine oil must be drained as the stator often runs in an oil bath. Carefully remove the side cover of the engine housing.
-
Cleaning: Meticulously remove all remains of the old housing gasket from the sealing surfaces to avoid later leaks.
-
Replacement: Loosen the mounting screws of the old stator and the pick-up sensor. Insert the new stator and secure the screws (ideally with a drop of medium-strength thread locker).
-
Cable Routing: Ensure that the cables are routed exactly as the original so that they are not caught by rotating parts (flywheel). Use the existing cable bushings/rubber grommets.
-
Completion: Use a new housing gasket. After installation, top up the oil (if drained), connect the battery, and check the charging voltage with the engine running.
