Preparation: Secure the ATV, turn off the engine, and ideally disconnect the battery. Remove the air filter box to gain access to the carburetor.
Disassembly: Loosen the clamp(s) securing the carburetor to the intake pipe. Carefully remove the carburetor from the intake pipe (disconnect fuel hose and throttle cable if necessary).
Replacement: Remove the mounting screws/nuts of the old intake pipe from the cylinder head. Remove the old pipe and gasket. Install the new intake pipe with a new gasket (if required).
Reassembly: Securely fasten the new intake pipe to the cylinder head. Insert the carburetor into the new pipe and secure the clamp tightly. Check all connections (vacuum hoses, cables).
Test: After reassembly, the engine must warm up, and the function must be checked for leaks (e.g., by carefully spraying starter fluid onto the connection points while the engine is running – if the RPM changes, there is a leak). The idle speed may need to be readjusted.
