A defective stator inevitably leads to charging failures, starting problems, and ultimately engine shutdown.

This Original Stator with 18 Coils is specifically designed for the Fuel Injection Version (EFI) of the Xinyang 500 and Kazuma Jaguar 500 ATVs. It offers the higher output and the correct connectors required for the demanding EFI system.

Important Note: This alternator is exclusively intended for models with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). The alternator for the Carburetor version can be found in our shop under the corresponding article number.

 

Installation Instructions (Intended as Guidance Only!)

 

Please Note: The following steps are intended only as guidance for installation. As this involves safety- and engine-critical work, installation by qualified specialist personnel is strongly recommended. We assume no liability for damages resulting from improper installation.

  1. Safety First: Always disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal before starting work.

  2. Drain Oil: The stator is often located behind the left engine cover, which sits in the oil sump. Completely drain the engine oil before removing the cover.

  3. Remove Cover: Carefully loosen all fastening screws on the stator cover. Pay attention to any gaskets or alignment pins.

  4. Remove Old Stator: Disconnect the electrical connectors outside the engine. Remove the mounting screws securing the old stator to the inside of the cover.

  5. Install New Stator: Mount the new stator in the same position and secure it with the original screws. Caution: Always use a new O-ring or gasket for the engine cover to prevent oil leaks.

  6. Reassembly: Carefully fit the engine cover. Tighten the screws evenly and to the manufacturer's specified torque.

  7. Fluids and Test: Refill with fresh engine oil and reconnect the electrical plugs. Connect the battery and measure the charging voltage at the output of the voltage regulator with the engine running (should be approx. 14.0 V to 14.5 V).
