Maximum Power Transfer & Precise Angle Redirection! – Bevel Gearbox / Shaft Drive Transfer Gear for Shineray & Bashan 150cc / 200cc
Central Component for the Secondary Drive – Robust cardan bevel gearbox for Chinese Quads & ATVs
Transfer your engine's power back to the road or trail without loss! This high-quality bevel gearbox (transfer gear) is the crucial mechanical component for all Shineray, Bashan, and similar Chinese quads equipped with a shaft drive (cardan) in the 150cc and 200cc displacement classes. It ensures that the linear rotation of the engine's output shaft is precisely redirected at the correct angle and transmitted directly to the propeller/cardan shaft.
Especially during off-road use, the transfer gearbox is exposed to extreme stress caused by constant load changes, vibrations, dirt, and moisture. A defect—often caused by insufficient lubrication (lack of gear oil) or natural tooth wear—manifests through grinding noises, excessive play in the drivetrain, or a locked rear wheel drive. Manufactured from heavy-duty, warp-free cast metal and equipped with hardened, precision-splined shafts, this replacement part offers maximum service life and restores your vehicle's smooth forward momentum in no time.
Technical Specifications & Details
-
Component: Bevel Gearbox / Cardan Transfer Gear / Angular Drive.
-
Item Number: 047-360202 (Please verify and compare the dimensions with your old part before purchasing).
-
Function: Redirects torque from the engine output to the cardan shaft (secondary drive).
-
Material: Extremely robust housing made of high-strength cast metal; ball-bearing mounted and case-hardened gear shafts.
-
Compatibility: Fits Shineray, Bashan, and numerous identical air- and water-cooled quads, ATVs, and trikes (150cc / 200cc) with shaft drive systems.
Installation & Maintenance Instructions: (For guidance purposes only)
-
Visual Check: Before installation, it is imperative to perform a visual check. Compare the housing dimensions, the number and layout of the mounting holes, as well as the shaft profiles (spline count, diameter, length) of both the input and output shafts exactly with your old gearbox.
-
Gear Oil Required: For logistical reasons, the bevel gearbox is usually delivered without or with only a minimal amount of preservation oil. You must fill it with the vehicle manufacturer's specified amount and type of high-pressure gear oil (e.g., SAE 80W-90 / Hypoid gear oil) before initial operation. Running it dry will destroy the tooth flanks and bearings within just a few meters!
-
Driveshaft Inspection: If the old gearbox suffered tooth damage, also check the universal joint (u-joint) and the slip yoke splines of the cardan shaft for play, imbalance, or binding during installation. A binding or unbalanced driveshaft will cause vibrations that immediately lead to premature bearing failure on the new bevel gearbox!
