  • Visual Compatibility: Before installation, perform a visual compatibility check. Compare the bolt hole spacing on the cylinder head and the inner diameter of the carburetor mount with your old part.

  • Cleaning Surfaces: Thoroughly clean the sealing surface on the cylinder head of any old gasket residue before installing the new manifold. An uneven surface will result in immediate leaks.

  • Torque: Tighten the mounting bolts evenly in a crosswise pattern. Be careful not to overtighten, as this can damage the aluminum flange or the threads in the cylinder head.

  • Leak Test: After installation and the initial engine start, you can carefully spray a small amount of brake cleaner onto the manifold. If the engine RPM changes, the system is still drawing in unmetered air, and the connection must be adjusted
