This CDI operates on an AC (Alternating Current) basis and is the ideal solution for sport and racing use on air- and water-cooled 200cc to 250cc engines.

Visual Compatibility: Before installation, perform a visual check. Compare the connector pins (usually 6-pin: one 2-block and one 4-block) exactly with your original CDI.
AC vs. DC Check: Ensure your vehicle has an AC ignition system. (Simple test: If the quad starts without a battery via kickstarter or bump starting, it is usually an AC system). Connecting an AC CDI to a DC system can destroy the unit instantly.
Plug & Play: Replacement is usually tool-free. Ensure the connector contacts are clean and free of corrosion.
