1. Preparation and Safety: Secure the ATV against rolling away. Lift the front of the vehicle so that the affected wheel hangs freely and the suspension is unloaded. Use suitable stands or lifts.

2. Disassembly: Remove the mounting bolts (top and bottom) that hold the shock absorber to the frame or steering knuckle mount.

3. Replacement: Remove the old shock absorber. Insert the new strut and align the mounting eyes.

4. Assembly and Torque: Insert the mounting bolts. Only lightly tighten the bolts while the ATV is still lifted. The bolts should only be fully tightened to the manufacturer's specified torque (tightening under load) once the ATV is back on its wheels and the suspension is loaded by the vehicle's weight.
