• Visual Compatibility: Due to potential minor design changes between 2007 and 2016 (e.g., coolant passages), perform a visual compatibility check before installation. Compare the casting marks and sealing surfaces with your old unit.

• Piston & Rings: Always inspect the condition of your piston and rings during assembly. We strongly recommend using a new piston kit and new gaskets with a new cylinder block to ensure a proper break-in process.

• Cleanliness: Thoroughly clean the crankcase of old gasket residue and debris before mounting the cylinder. Lightly coat the cylinder bore with fresh engine oil before the first start.

• Break-in Period: After replacing the cylinder, follow a proper break-in period of approximately 150–300 miles (250–500 km) with varying RPMs, avoiding prolonged full-throttle operation.
