Component: Spark Plug (Standard or Iridium version depending on selection)
Visual Compatibility: Before installation, perform a visual check. Compare the type designation (e.g., DCPR8E) exactly with the plug specified in your vehicle's manual.
Electrode Gap: Check the electrode gap with a feeler gauge before installation. For most CF Moto models, this value is between 0.7 mm and 0.9 mm (please follow manufacturer specifications).
Cleanliness: Use compressed air to clean the area around the spark plug port before removing the old plug to prevent dirt from falling into the combustion chamber.
Torque: Screw the spark plug in by hand first until it is seated. Then use a torque wrench. (Guide value for aluminum cylinder heads: approx. 10–15 Nm for M10 threads or 15–20 Nm for M12 threads).
Plug Cap Check: When changing the plug, also inspect the spark plug cap for corrosion or cracks in the insulation and clean the contacts with contact spray if necessary
