• Preparation: Thoroughly clean the clutch drum (bell) to remove old dust, grease, or glazing. A clean surface is essential to prevent the new pads from slipping.

• Break-in Period: New clutch shoes require a short break-in period. Avoid heavy towing or extreme loads for the first few miles to allow the pads to seat properly against the drum.

• Grease Control: Ensure that no oil or grease contacts the friction surfaces. Only use a tiny amount of high-temperature grease on pivot points if specified by the service manual.
