Voltage Regulator / Rectifier – For Jinling 250 JLA-21B ATV & SPY 250 F1 Quad
Stabilization of the Onboard Electronics – Protects Battery and Electronics from Overvoltage!
The voltage regulator, often referred to as the rectifier-regulator, is a vital component of the vehicle's electrical system. It has two main functions: It converts the alternating current (AC) generated by the stator into direct current (DC) (rectifier) and simultaneously limits the voltage to the correct value (usually approx. 14 Volts) to charge the battery and protect all electronic components (lights, CDI, speedo) from damaging overvoltage.
A defective regulator can lead to broken batteries, burnt-out bulbs, or the failure of the CDI unit.
This Voltage Regulator / Rectifier is the precise replacement for the 250cc quad models and ensures the correct power supply for:
-
Jinling 250 JLA-21B ATV
-
SPY 250 F1 Quad

Important Note on Verification and Compatibility
Due to the complexity of the vehicle electrics, the voltage regulator must match the design and connections (connector configuration) exactly. Please visually compare the item with your old part. Also, please pay attention to all article information such as the shape of the housing (with cooling fins), the mounting points, and the exact number/arrangement of pins in the plugs, to ensure correct electrical connection and function.
Installation Instructions (Intended as Guidance Only!)
Important Note: Work on the electrical system requires caution. Always disconnect the battery before working on the regulator. Ensure that the ground connection of the regulator is clean and secure, as this is essential for correct function.
-
Preparation: Secure the quad and turn off the engine. Disconnect the battery (negative terminal first!).
-
Disassembly: Locate the regulator (often on the frame with cooling fins). Disconnect the electrical plugs. Loosen the mounting bolts.
-
Replacement: Remove the old regulator. Install the new regulator and tighten the mounting bolts. Ensure the regulator has good contact with the chassis (important for cooling and ground).
-
Test: Reconnect the plugs and the battery. Start the engine and measure the battery voltage (should rise to approx. 13.5 - 14.5 Volts at idle) to check correct function.
Secure the electrics of your quad! Order the Voltage Regulator / Rectifier (Art. No. 055-700103)!
