• Visual Compatibility: Before installation, perform a visual check. Measure the distance between the mounting holes (center to center = 250 mm) and check the width of the mounting eyes as well as the bolt hole diameter.

• Installation Direction: Ensure correct orientation during installation. Usually, the strut is mounted so that the spring preload adjustment (if available) is easily accessible.

• Bolt Inspection: Check the mounting bolts for wear or bending. If in doubt, use new bolts with a strength class of 8.8 or higher.

• Cleaning: Keep the piston rod clean. Dirt and sand can cause premature wear on the seals, leading to oil leaks.
