• Visual Compatibility: Before installation, perform a visual check. It is essential to compare the tooth count (11) and the pinion diameter (14 mm) with your old part, as 9-tooth versions are also common on these engines.

• Safety: Disconnect the battery before starting work. When connecting the positive cable, ensure the rubber protective cap is seated correctly to prevent short circuits caused by water or dirt.

• Ground Connection: Ensure that the contact surfaces on the starter flange and the engine case are clean and free of corrosion. A poor ground connection is a frequent cause of low starter RPM.

• Clutch Inspection: If the starter spins freely without engaging or makes loud clicking noises, please also check the starter one-way clutch inside the engine, as it is subject to high stress in 250cc engines
