Visual Compatibility: Before installation, perform a visual check. Compare the mounting flange and the connections for the throttle cable and choke lever/cable with your original part.
System Cleaning: Flush the fuel tank briefly before installation to remove old deposits. Install the included fuel filter in the correct flow direction (note the arrow) between the tank and the carburetor.
Sealing: Inspect the intake manifold for cracks or porosity. Since 250cc engines are sensitive to "lean running" caused by air leaks, the connection must be perfectly airtight.
Adjustment: The carburetor comes factory pre-set. However, fine-tuning of the idle speed should be performed once the engine is at operating temperature.
Storage: For long periods of inactivity, we recommend draining the fuel via the drain screw on the float chamber to prevent the jets from gumming up
