1. Preparation: Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

2. Replacement: The regulator is usually easily accessible, mounted under the seat or on a frame strut. Carefully disconnect all plugs.

3. Heat Dissipation: Ensure the new regulator is mounted in a location with good heat dissipation, as it generates a lot of heat during operation.

4. Testing: After installation and connecting the battery, start the engine. Measure the voltage directly at the battery terminals at idle and at increased RPM (approx. 3000 RPM). The voltage should be stable at approx. 14.0 V to 14.5 V.
