Installation Instructions (Intended as Guidance Only!)

Important Note: Work on chassis components is safety-critical. We strongly recommend that this work be carried carried out by qualified personnel. The following guide is intended only as assistance and does not replace a professional workshop manual.

1. Preparation and Safety: Secure the ATV against rolling away and lift the rear end so that the affected wheel hangs freely and the suspension is unloaded. Use suitable stands or lifts.

2. Disassembly: Remove the mounting bolts (top and bottom) that hold the shock absorber to the frame or swingarm. Support the swingarm slightly to prevent sudden dropping.

3. Replacement: Remove the old shock absorber. Insert the new strut and align the mounting eyes.

4. Assembly and Torque: Insert the mounting bolts. Only lightly tighten the bolts while the ATV is still lifted. The bolts should only be fully tightened to the manufacturer's specified torque (tightening under load) once the ATV is back on its wheels and the suspension is loaded by the vehicle's weight.

5. Function Check: After assembly, check all bolts for tightness and carefully test the suspension for freedom of movement and function.

Important Note on Compatibility

This shock absorber format (365 mm E-E, 10 mm spring) is frequently used as a standard component in 250cc models from Jianshe (like the Mountain Lion, Puma) and Baja (like the Wilderness Trail 250), as well as numerous other 250cc ATVs. Please measure the eye-to-eye distance of your old part before purchasing to confirm the 365 mm length.
