• Visual Compatibility: Since manufacturers may use different carburetor versions within a series, perform a visual compatibility check before installation. Compare the intake manifold mount, air filter connection, and electric choke plug with your original unit.

• Cleanliness: Thoroughly clean the intake system and fuel tank. We highly recommend installing a new inline fuel filter to prevent debris from clogging the new carburetor's jets.

• Tuning: The carburetor comes factory-preset. However, fine-tuning the idle mixture screw at operating temperature may be necessary to match your engine's specific characteristics and local conditions (altitude).

• Sealing: Inspect the intake manifold for cracks or leaks. Air leaks are a common cause of poor performance and can negatively impact the new carburetor's function.
